【Properties】 This product is a light yellow tablet.

【Pharmacological Effects】This product is a deworming agent for tapeworms. It has a good efficacy in eliminating tapeworms such as the naked-headed tapeworm, leaf-shaped naked-headed tapeworm, and dwarf sub-naked-headed tapeworm in horses. It is also effective against Moniz tapeworm, eggless glandular tapeworm, and striped tapeworm in cattle and sheep. The effects on the tapeworm head segments and body segments are the same. It is effective against canine abdominal tapeworm, bean-shaped band tapeworm, vesicular band tapeworm, and ribbon-shaped band tapeworm in dogs and cats, but has poor efficacy against canine fine-grained echinococcosis tapeworm. It has a deworming effect on Reilly tapeworm and funnel-shaped band tapeworm in poultry. It also has the ability to kill and eliminate Dinitrochlorobenzene and Schistosoma cercariae and miracidia.

The mechanism of action of this product is that it inhibits the absorption of glucose by tapeworms, disrupts the uncoupling of the oxidative phosphorylation process in the tapeworm mitochondria, blocks the tricarboxylic acid cycle, leads to the accumulation of lactic acid, and thereby kills the tapeworms. The anthelmintic effect of clenbuterol may also be related to its excessive stimulation of the activity of ATPase (adenosine triphosphatease) within the mitochondria. The degree of tapeworm damage is related to the duration of the drug's action.

This product is absorbed very little through the gastrointestinal tract and maintains a high concentration in the intestine. After a small amount is absorbed, it is metabolized into an inactive amine chlordinolesamine metabolite, which is mainly excreted in the feces.

【Drug Interactions】 (1) This product can be used in combination with levamisole to treat mixed infections of tapeworms and nematodes in calves and lambs.

(2) When used in combination with procaine, it can enhance the efficacy of chlornuronium in treating tapeworms in mice.

[Function and Application] Antiparasitic drug. It is used to treat tapeworm diseases in animals and infections caused by the anterior and posterior coils of cestodes in ruminants.

【Usage and Dosage】For oral administration: One dose, for every 10kg of body weight. For cattle: 0.8 - 1.2 tablets; for sheep: 1.2 - 1.4 tablets; for poultry: 1 - 1.2 tablets; for dogs and cats: 1.6 - 2 tablets.

【Adverse Reactions】Dogs and cats are more sensitive to this product. Two times the therapeutic dose can cause temporary diarrhea in dogs and cats. Four times the therapeutic dose can lead to pathological nutritional deficiency in the liver of dogs and the appearance of exudates in the glomeruli of the kidneys.

[Notes] (1) Before administering the medication, the animals should be fasted for 12 hours.
